About us

A contractor built around its own fleet and people.

Contracting, procurement and logistics in one company, run from Basra since 2012.

Zain Al-Karam is an Iraqi contractor building and supplying for the oil, power, industrial and public sectors. We work with our own engineers, our own machinery and a largely Iraqi workforce, so a client deals with one responsible party from site preparation to handover.

A word from the management

A strong record of turnkey civil and electro-mechanical works as an EPC contractor. We invest in our local staff and run a current quality system alongside QA/QC and safety programmes.

We consider the worker the origin of the production process. Any threat to a worker's safety is a threat to the project itself, so we provide a safe working environment, match each person to work that suits their ability, and manage the safety tasks the job requires.

Local content

We contribute to Iraq's local content goals through:

  • A high percentage of Iraqi nationals across all disciplines
  • Partnerships with local community contractors in Basra
  • On the job training and development programmes
  • Local procurement and subcontracting
